He delivers supplies to the restaurant via seaplane, and hints that he's in love with the witch, though she rebuffs him. He has been passionate about flying ever since he was a child, and eventually was given a friend's seaplane to carry out deliveries. He is heavily implied to be the reincarnation of Isonokami no Marotari, one of the five noble suitors vying for the hand of Princess Kaguya. He dreams about this past life, where he died from a fall injury while trying to get to a swallow's nest to bring Kaguya "a cowry shell born of a swallow". The witch's familiar, the white rabbit, appears to him shortly after, and he wishes for "a pair of wings to get to [the princess]".
